My Holiday in Bali, Indonesia

I had an holiday for 3 days 2 night in Bali, Indonesia on the 28th July 2007.It was my first time to go to Bali, a tropical island with a colourful festival. It was a free and easy trip with my family.

We was staying in Hard Rock Hotel Bali, in Kuta. It was a very beautiful hotel with all the facilities and the Hotel was situated just in front of the beach. Sigh seeing in Bali are mostly visiting the temples.

Bali beach is a perfect place for a vacation. Bali also has a lot of beautiful beaches such as Kuta, Sanur, or Nusa Dua. You can do a lot of stuff here, whether you want to sunbathing, playing in the water, water sports, or just to stroll at the beach. Feel its warm sun crawling through your body and a cool breeze of air gently touches your skin. Bali also known for its beautiful sunset scenery, see it and you will experienced an extraordinary feeling inside.

Bali is not just about sunbathing, sports, or watching sunset at the beach. Bali is also a culture. There are many fascinating facts behind it. Take Bali Dance for example, what is the story behind the dance that attracted us so. And how about Bali's ceremony. In every ceremony Bali is crowd with people, they gather to join in a part for what they believed, and for some there is always something to be watched. Many foreigner documented this festival to tell the world of its grateness. The fact that Bali is consist of many ethnic, the number of ritual around Bali is numerous. But the fun doesn't stop here, there are still many things about Bali culture to look for such as Bali's classic painting, cremation, marriage, and others.

If you want to visit Bali for only 2 to 3 days it is not enough. There are a lot things that you want to see and know about the island. Anyway I,m still having fun with my family.

This is the program designed specifically to turn your child into a financially savy individual and also provide the child with the knowledge and skills they would need to plan for their financial freedom. In this program the child will be given the First Hand On experience. The sooner they learn these secrets, the fewer mistakes they will make.

To know more details about the program, they will be another preview on 28th July 2007 at M Hotel.

I believe by giving them the HEADSTART NOW, they will be able to make good financial decision.

I will always be excited if you are talking about Nutrition and Health. Because of my interest I have asked a good friend of mine to wrote the following article :)

Five Tips For Planning And Losing Weight

If motivation is the spark that lights the weight-loss fire, then smart planning is the timber that will keep your desire burning. Lots of folks jump into a new diet or weight-loss plan without giving it much thought. This can lead to disappointment later when results aren't as stellar as had been hoped and people don't understand what went wrong.
Losing weight or maintaining a healthful weight brings the promise of feeling great, looking good and decreasing the negative impact that being overweight has on your health. Here's a rundown of the factors that most weight-loss experts agree will help you succeed.

PREPARATION

1. Draw On Internal Motivation

Write down your reasons for wanting to lose weight. An honest assessment can go a long way toward predicting whether you will succeed. Knowing why you want to lose weight can also help you focus your efforts more definitively. Play to your strongest internal motivation. In general, internal motivators (getting healthy, feeling better) lead to long-term success. External motivators (fitting into new clothes in time for a friend's wedding) tend to be powerful but short-lived. Aim for something like climbing stairs without becoming winded rather than trying to fit into that old dress or suit. Specific motivators make powerful inducements. A man who enjoys restoring antique cars finds that because of his weight gain he can no longer slide under the cars to work on them. The desire to recapture the joy of his hobby motivates him to lose weight. A mother with a toddler at home can't easily get down on the floor to play with the baby. She makes significant changes in her life (and to her weight) based on her desire to share time with her child. A strong desire for change can lead to a very real commitment to action.

2. Elicit Support

You could go it alone, but support makes the job easier and more pleasant. Telling the people closest to you about your intentions announces that you're serious and committed to your new lifestyle. This doesn't have to be a media event. Just tell your family and friends that you plan to change some important aspects of your life and that you'd appreciate their support. A caveat: Don't proclaim, "I'm starting a new diet." Diets are temporary. You're making changes for the long haul. Having a support partner works for many people. Together, you can bolster one another's sagging spirits by offering encouragement. Promising to meet a partner for regularly scheduled gym time is a great way to stick to a workout routine. Other people choose to attend weight-management programs, either alone or with a friend. Putting out money for a program or health-club membership turns a wishful idea into a business transaction. "I've already paid for this, so I might as well go," is the mantra of many.

3. ACTION

Make Gradual Changes

Dramatic changes tend to disappear dramatically; gradual changes stay with you for a lifetime. Make a list of your long-term goals. They may include reaching and maintaining a certain weight, feeling more energetic or reclaiming a sense of control over your life. Break this list into manageable chunks. Perhaps you'll say, "Over the course of the next year, I want to lose X pounds." Divide that number by months or weeks, then plan how you can meet that goal through decreased caloric intake and increased activity. If you've been inactive for a long time, don't start by exercising 30 minutes per session. Ease into it. And when planning your new menu, don't eliminate all "bad" foods in one sweep. With milk, for example, you can reduce fat content in steps, becoming accustomed to the taste and consistency of each type at your own pace. Switch from whole milk to 2 percent - which actually has 36 percent of calories from fat! - then to 1-percent milk and finally to skim, which has no calories from fat.

4. Schedule Regular Activity

Exercise burns calories and makes you feel better. It also may curb appetite. Make exercise an automatic part of your day and pretty soon you won't remember a time when you weren't active. On days when a full workout is impossible, you can accumulate activity by squeezing in short bouts of action throughout the day. Park your car far from a building's entrance and walk. Take a brisk stroll after lunch. Perform desk exercises while you work. Tap your foot to music. Use the stairs. These all can add up to more calories burned than are burned during a workout at the gym, and are a lot more convenient.

5. Eat Smaller, More Frequent Meals

Smaller meals help stave off feelings of starvation, which can lead to binge eating. It's also an easy way to get fruits and vegetables into your diet. Keep healthful foods handy so "calorie-dispensing" vending machines or fast food joints won't tempt you. Stock staples like apples and raisins in a desk drawer, purse or locker. Baby short cut carrots and celery stalks can fill you up while providing lots of fiber. Almost any recipes you currently use can be turned into a mini meal.
How small should these meals be? Aim for snack-like portions of about 100 to 150 calories. Examine typical vending machine snacks and you'll find most are well over this amount. A small package of cheese crackers with peanut butter filling has about 230 calories. By choosing fruit and vegetable snacks instead, you can easily satisfy your hunger without the extra calories. A quarter cup of raisins, for example, has about 130 calories.

You can eat as often as you feel genuinely hungry. This means not eating out of habit or boredom. Drink a glass of water before you eat anything. You need water anyway, plus it helps you fill up without adding calories.

5 Reason To Start Your Own Internet Business

1) Freedom to work when you choose

You no longer have to commit to the daily 9-5 schedule, but can choose a schedule
that is convenient and works best for you. This allows you to have more leisure time, to stay well rested, and reduces stress.

2) Unlimited Income Potential

Many jobs have a financial cap on how much you can earn, however when it comes to running an Internet business, the sky is the limit. Internet businesses have the potential of reaching clients world wide, greatly increasing the amount of profits generated.

3. Controlling your Business Future

Along with freedom and unlimited income potential, running an Internet business places the power reigns in your hands. You can control your own future when you are the boss. You have no one else to answer to, and all of the decisions to be made are yours. This gives great freedom in the direction the business is run, and also lets you have room for trial and error. When you control the company, you can determine its future.

4. Freedom to Work Part Time or Full Time

You have the opportunity to choose whether to work part time or full time. Running an Internet business gives business owners the opportunity to ease into their new company at their own pace and a time that is right for them.

5. Save Money by Working from Home

Finally, you will discover that it is incredibly less expensive running your Internet business then it is to work in many other fields. First, you can choose to work from home, saving money on gas and transportation costs. Advertising Internet businesses is very inexpensive, and you have the option of choosing advertising according to your budget. When you first begin your business, you may choose marketing methods that are fairly inexpensive or even free. As your business and your budget grow, you will then be able to choose other marketing ideas that are suitable for your income. However, advertising on the Internet by using means of newsletters, press releases, and other forms of marketing is considerably less expensive when compared to other forms of marketing.

Making Money Online.

Making money on line? What do you think? Mmm.....

The fact is that there a tons of people making tons of money online today. There are some people who make an extra couple hundred dollars per month, others who make a few thousand dollars a month, some earn full time 6 figure incomes, and some who earn millions solely from thier online businesses.

Anyway some week back in the Sunday Times it featured a former laywer who quit her job and went into network marketing. She is making as much as she did in her last job. The difference is: She used to work 15 hours a day as a lawyer, but now it's 15 hours a week. The secret to her success? The "passive income" concept - money that comes in even when your're not working.

Her story impressed me and who doesn't want passive income - money working for you instead of vice versa - while you rest from your trenuous 15 hours work week?

The moral of the story is that you have a choice to make. I've already made my choice and is just a matter of time. So I leave it to you to decide.

He is only 26 year old and and has been making money on line without picking up any phone call. This is his 1st time in Singapore. Last night he had share with us about his own path that he never before told anyone. The most important part of the talk is his opinion was this . . .
>
>"If you want something bad, and you have a burning desire to make it happen, you got a big WHY and with a big WHY any how get's so small it just doesn't even matter."

So you must have that big 'WHY' to be success and also it about yourself not money alone....

SUCCESS IS AN ATTITUDE.

Hi Friends.

I come across a very interesting article like to share. Enjoy reading.....

SUCCESS IS AN ATTITUDE

We talk about success as though it’s an event or a thing. We refer to people wearing "the badges of success", and carrying around (or wearing or driving) the latest status symbol.

But success is not a thing; it’s a way of being in the world.

You can have all the riches in the world, and still feel like a failure if you aren't following your life's true purpose. This is a special kind of stress.

Or you might have nothing but the clothes you stand in and feel like the biggest success in the world... if you are following your heart. And that is a very special kind of 'bliss'.

Day after day you may struggle through your to-do list or Objectives Project Plan, cross off most of the big items, and maybe even feel like you have had a successful day.

But are you barking up the wrong tree? A successfully completed task doesn’t mean a thing if it isn’t taking you nearer your true life goals by following your heart.

So what does it mean to follow the heart?

One way of looking at this is to ask yourself "Where do I get approval from? Is it from inside of me, or from others?"

"Where do I find satisfaction? Do I find it in things and other people, or in the silence I find inside myself?"

These are difficult questions. It may be that you cannot even think of a time when you experienced silence within. Could it be that you are busy chasing after things that make too much noise?

There is nothing deadly serious about looking for inner silence. In fact, it leads to more fun, not less. More delight, not more depression or burn-out. And it leads to more success. Because the strength you take from inner silence restores the ability to see what is truly valuable. Friendship, love, compassion and commitment to something bigger than oneself.

Imagine yourself on your death-bed, if that isn’t too depressing! What will you look back on as the successes in your life? When was the point at which you redefined success and failure, and realised that the only real yardstick is within you?

Success is not an event. Success is an attitude.

Discover the 90/10 Principle

It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations).

What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.

What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.

We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.

How? ........By your reaction.

You cannot control a red light. But you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example.

You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.

What happens next will be determined by how you react.

You curse.

You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, yu turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.

Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit.

After a 15 minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terribe. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home.

When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why? ......Because of how you reacted in the morning.

A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
c) Did the policeman casue it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is "D"

You had no control over hwat happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say. "It of honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbin a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheefully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarious. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why?

Because of how your REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determinded by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something negative about you, dont's be a sponge, Let the attach roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you!

React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off. Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them?

WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job.

Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time info finding another job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day, Why take outpour frustratin on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on.

Use your time to study, get to know th eother passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse.

Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazes at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it. The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.

The result?

Million of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache.
We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.

It CAN change you lifE!!!

HEART ATTACK AND DRINKING WARM WATER

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and may lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.

You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

DO YOU KNOW???

DO YOU KNOW???

"Mr Steve Chia Kiah Hong: Clarification from the Minister.
Does any serving minister who turns 55 actually receive both salary and pension at the same time? If yes, should he be serving? Mr Lee Hsien Loong: I believe the answer is yes.

That is the rule for the civil service, and the ministers follow the civil
service rules." (Source: Parliamentary Debates, 2004) -

4 Apr 2007

Dear Minister Mentor,

I note that you are 83 this year and turning 84 in September
2007. With the revelation that you (and many other pensionable
ministers above 55 years of age) are "actually (receiving) both
salary and pension at the same time ", what are your feelings about
it? I am sure many Singaporeans are not aware of this fact (that
pensionable ministers are getting both salary and pension), given
that many letter writers to the press give the impression that they
believe the pensions will kick in only after the ministers have
retired. (ST, 4 Apr 2007, "Pay at 2/3 benchmark but remove pension"
attached below).

Let me do a rough calculation/summary for you (if any of my
assumptions is incorrect, please feel free to correct it):
>
1. Given your seniority and experience, I would assume your
Minister Mentor salary is at least $2 million currently. Therefore,
with the proposed salary hike for ministers from $1.2m to $2.2
million (to be announced by PM Lee Hsien Loong on 9 April 2007), I
can safely say your salary will be likewise increased accordingly,
from $2m to say, $3 million (a corresponding $1m increase)?

2. Additionally, you are also pensionable, so at 50% pension
conservatively, you will also get an additional $1.5 million while
still serving as Minister Mentor.

3. Therefore, your total salary (including pension) will
amount to some $4.5 million a year (1 plus 2 above) with the proposed salary increase. Now, I remember that sometime ago, I read in the newspapers that at 80 years old or so, you admitted you were not as "productive" (or something to that effect) as you were at say, 40 years old when you assumed the premiership of Singapore. Thus, your mental and physical capacities at 80 years of age were probably functioning at a fraction of the corresponding capacities at 40 years old, right? Let me put an arbitrary factor of 50% - ie. you were functioning at 50% capacity at 80 years old when compared to when you were 40 years old. (This takes into account that you may also be spending less time at the office instead of the usual 8 to 10 hours of daily work time - didn't you also mention you now start work a bit later than usual because you need that extra beauty sleep?)

So, on a per-capita-productivity basis, at $4.5 million of
pay working only at 50% productivity, you are effectively being paid
some $9 million per annum, pro-rated, right? (Of course, I am not
going to argue with you whether it should be a factor of 50% or 75%
productivity as you may not even feel any diminished capability at
all, but I believe you get the message).

(Note: as you probably are aware, there are many older
Singaporeans (pioneers who built up Singapore together with you,
many of whom were amongst the early batches of national servicemen) now forced to take up cleaner positions at hawker centres and/or HDB estates, at much reduced salaries of even less than $1,000 per month (without pension though). They are paid reduced salaries because with age, they are assumed to be less productive, both physically and mentally, so they should be paid less than say, an able-bodied foreigner half his age, ie.
the older they are, their salaries commensurately less because of
diminished capacities and productivity, even if they put in the
full 8 hours of work daily. But you are the exception, of course -
the older and less productive you become, the more pay you get!)

Well, I am using 50% productivity because of the following
reasons:

If you had had that "fire in the belly" old self as
evidenced in the 60s and 70s, working 14 to 16 hours a day, the following might not have happened with "effecitve mentoring" - which is what you are supposed to do now as Minister Mentor: mentoring the younger ministers -

1. Shin Corp disaster - potentially losing some $4 billion
of taxpayers' money
2. Sand ban by Indonesia - where is the diplomacy?
3. Accusations that S'pore is harbouring Indonesian
fugitives with laundered money? (IPS, 2 Apr 2007, "Shifting Sands to Prod 'Safe Haven' Singapore",
link http://www.ipsnews.net/news.asp?idnews=37178 )
4. S'pore's structurally unemployed (failed education and
manpower planning policies)
5. Influx of foreigners over the next 10-15 years to swell
population to 6.5m because citizens are not producing enough (this
of course goes way back to your "Stop At Two" legacy in the 70s).
6. High cost of living and doing business (high property
prices/rentals, etc..)
7. Ministers running out of ideas to grow economy - instead
have to jump on the casino bandwagon, a move you had vehemently objected previously
8. Citizens not having enough to retire on - CPF started off
well with noble intentions but many now do not have sufficient funds
in their accounts with negative equity, miserable returns,
unemployment, etc..
9. National Service (NS) - low morale of servicemen (NSF and
NSmen) as they question the value of citizenship coupled with their
"2-years of full time plus 10-years of reservist obligations"
("opportunity cost") - the often refrain of
"NS for citizens, jobs for foreigners", especially with the
huge influx of foreigners already here and much more expected in the
coming years
10. ... and the list goes on......

So, are you getting more pay with less productivity?
By the way, are you also paid for being Chairman of GIC? (a
purely "commercial" entity like Temasek?)

As an aside, maybe because of this anomaly in Singapore of a
serving minister being paid both a salary and pension at the same
time, many ex-ministers find it more honourable to retire once past
their retirement age (but still living on a generous pension) as they feel with diminshed capacities and productivity, it is not right to be
tapping on the generosity of taxpayers' money since they would not
be able to contribute as much as their concurrent serving salaries
would expect of them. So, for this, my respect to ex-ministers like
Rajaretnam, Goh Keng Swee, Toh Chin Chye, Richard Hu, etc...

Secrets to Success

Create Your Own Luck And You Will Never Fail

Why is it that some people succeed at things while others fail? Is there such a thing as creating your own luck?

The answer is quite simple, those who succeed chose to 'do something' and do it now rather than later.

For example, imagine that 100 people read the exact same book that I did. I benefited from what was written and implemented the information in it to my advantage. Yet the other 100 people managed to come up with 100 different reasons why the book either wouldn't work for them or how it didn't fit their situation. The point being, everyone has choices available to him or her. They can choose to make money or choose to make excuses, it's really as simple as that! People who make excuses just leave more opportunities open to those of us who do want to succeed. Those who don't sit idly by and use golden opportunities to their best advantage all have one thing in common, they just got started and don't make excuses about why they can't!

There are thousands of reasons why you can't make a start today. The timing may not be right or you may be too busy today to make a start. Most people who do succeed are usually at the busiest time of their lives, so the real question here is, are you too busy to make money? Or maybe your computer is too slow or needs updating? Possibly the software you are using isn't right to start your internet business? People like that keep telling themselves "once I get this new software or computer then I'll start.... " and go along on their merry way looking for even more plans. All the while they are waiting, they are letting golden opportunities pass them by. These people are never going to make money with that attitude because the time will never be right. So once again the real question here is when is the right time to start making money?

Others wait until every one around them is making money from working hard on a realistic plan, then call them 'lucky'? There is no such thing as being 'lucky' in this situation. We all make our own luck by taking an opportunity with both hands and 'doing something' with it! How many books have you read this year? How many ideas have you implemented from your newfound knowledge? Be truthful now! If you buy a book, make it your goal to implement at least one idea you have found.

Take some responsibility for yourself. If you don't 'do something' nobody will jump up and do it for you. By being responsible for your own success, you will find that your goals and ambitions aren't really that far from you. Ask someone who is successful and they will tell you the same thing because it's true. If you are having trouble being successful, be aware that you have the tools and opportunities. All that you need is to 'do something' about it. Create your own luck.
